Your OTP

So you're writing a romance, and you want to be sure your two characters are perfect for each other. Here are some things to consider about your characters to have every one of your readers shipping them.

About your OTP:

  1. Why are they good together? 

  2. What does Person A see in Person B? Vice versa? Are they the same?

  3. Do they both want to be in the relationship? What reasons do each have for wanting to be with the other?

  4. What originally made Person A want to be in a relationship with Person B? Did xir reasons ever change? 

  5. What originally made Person B want to be in a relationship with Person A? Did xir reasons ever change?

  6. Do both of them know what they think of each other? 

  7. When, if ever, did they say "I love you?"

Which one...

  1. Which one hogs the blankets and which quietly deals with being cold because the other is too cute to be bothered?

  2. Which one stays up late reading and which falls aleep on xir lap?

  3. Which one swears and which says "language?"

  4. Which one has a more complicated coffee order?

  5. Which one cries at the wedding?

  6. Which one likes their music on full volume and which one complains about it?

  7. Which one is ticklish?

  8. Which one is a terrible cook and which eats it anyway?

  9. Which one spontaneously buys a pet and which pretends to be reluctant about keeping it?

  10. Which one asks philosphical questions in the middle of the night and which hits xir in the face with a pillow?

  11. ​Which one says "I love you" first? (and how does the other one reply?)
